FEW Focus: Compliance
Federally Employed Women’s (FEW) Compliance Program monitors the progress made by the federal government in achieving equal employment opportunity (EEO) evidenced by its adherence with statutory civil rights protections including: the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Civil Rights Act of 1991.
FEW on the National level maintains close working relationships with several federal departments and agencies including the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) and Department of Labor (DOL). FEW’s grassroots compliance efforts play a vital role in implementing the Compliance Program across the FEW network.
On the Chapter level, the New Carrollton Chapter's Compliance Committee is interested in EEO Compliance issues and concerns affecting our members and federally employed women in New Carrollton and the vicinity. Share your best practices. Identify and celebrate the Compliance champions who are working to ensure the work environment is safe, respectful, professional and free from discrimination.
